Theives are becomming more daring. Back in the winter I had someone walk right up to the gas grill right outside my door and unscrew the propane tank and take off with it. I have two big dogs and the living room is on the other side of the wall. It really surprised me that someone would take that chance just for a propane tank. I replaced the tank and invested in a heavy chain and padlock. In addition, I installed motion activated security cameras and high-powered flood lights all around my house. I've never had another problem after that.
