Two accused of stealing tools from construction sites arrested in Pittsfield Township

By Cindy Heflin

Pittsfield Township police have arrested two people suspected of breaking into various construction sites and stealing tools and wiring.

The suspects, two Ypsilanti Township residents, ages 33 and 48, had allegedly just burglarized a business under construction in the 5700 block of Hines Drive in Pittsfield Township when they were arrested, according to a press release issued early this morning by police.

Police spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle and took the suspects into custody after a traffic stop, police said.

Pittsfield Township police worked with officers from Eastern Michigan University, the University of Michigan to catch the suspects, according to the release.

One suspect was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail and the other to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Nor further information was immediately available.

YEAH!! Great job Pittsfield Police! 33 and 48, these are not kids. When you fall like this, you must land on your feet or it's over. I also agree with Robad1. (Very low)

Stealing the tools people use to earn an honest living is pretty low. These two are lucky the police caught them instead of the construction workers.
