Two men attempt to break into building on Holmes Road in Ypsilanti Township

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Two men attempted to break into a building in the 1000 block of Holmes Road in Ypsilanti Township early Monday, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies were dispatched on a burglary alarm just before 4 a.m. and arrived to find a window to an entry door shattered, according to a media summary.

Deputies determined entry was not gained to the building, and nothing was taken, the summary said. They reviewed video surveillance, which showed two people attempting to break in, the summary said.

The would-be burglars fled in a four-door Ford Explorer with flat running boards on the driver's side.

Anyone with information can call the sheriff's tip line at 734-973-7711.

Near 4 a.m. in the snow storm we had? I guess they had nothing better to do. What color was the Ford Explorer?
