Two suspected of burglarizing Dexter apartment hours after man was found dead there
A man and woman were arrested Wednesday, suspected of burglarizing a Dexter apartment hours after a man was found dead inside, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.
The 42-year-old man was found dead at 1 p.m. in his apartment in the 8000 block of Main Street, but deputies said there's no evidence of foul play or any indication that the people suspected of burglarizing the residence had anything to do with the death.
The man's name has not been released. Officials at the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner's Office could not be reached for comment this afternoon.
Jackson said deputies responded to the apartment at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report of a burglary in progress and arrested a 27-year-old Hamburg Township man and 26-year-old Brighton woman at the scene.
The two had broken into the home in order to steal prescription medication belonging to the man who died, Jackson said. He did not know what type of medication they took. The medication was recovered, deputies said.
Jackson said it's unclear whether the two were aware the man had died. The two were taken to the Washtenaw County Jail, where they are expected to be arraigned on criminal charges Friday.

Could this be more poorly written? At first look, it appears the burglary happened after the death . . .
