University of Michigan football season tickets stolen from Ann Arbor home
A woman reported to Ann Arbor police Tuesday that her University of Michigan football season tickets were recently stolen during a party at her home in the 500 block of Walnut Street.
The tickets were taken from a bedroom during the party that ran from 10 p.m. Aug. 31 until 2 a.m. Sept. 1, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.
The 20-year-old woman didn't report the theft until 9 a.m. Tuesday, Bush said. Anyone with information can call the police department's tip line at (734) 794-6939.

I had an employee once that thought it was safe to let any college student into her home for a party, even if she hadn't met them. She had her purse stolen once, she had an ipod stolen at the next one, and later when she continued living with her doors unlocked she had money stolen out of her bedroom. We all kept trying to tell her at work to keep her doors locked and valuables hidden but she had this naive thinking that no one was going to steal from her. After the third theft she finally started to believe us, and started to live smarter. This sounds like a similar incident, students need to be more cautious.

Bedrooms are off limits when I have a party. (also one of the 3 bathrooms) I guess I can understand the call into 911 on Tuesday a.m. (she may not have realized the tickets were gone unti then). It's getting harder and harder to trust people in your home, party or no party. SAD!

The police will probably be able to solve this when the perpetrator shows up at the next game.

The thief will be selling those tickets to scalpers, not using them. The people in the seats will have no idea they were stolen.

That's got to sting, especially before the big game with Notre Dame where tickets are commanding a premium price...I keep mine in a safe.
