Vehicle stolen on Parkview Place in Ann Arbor
A crossover sport utility vehicle was reported stolen Tuesday morning from the driveway of a home on Parkview Place off West Huron Street, Ann Arbor police said.
The silver 2010 Acura RDX with a New Mexico license plate was taken between 6 p.m. Monday and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.
It was left locked and the owner has the only set of keys, Bush said. The four-door vehicle has a minor crack on the passenger side mirror, Bush said, and some white paint on the right side of the front fender.
Anyone with information can call the police department's tip line at (734) 794-6939.

@tes, how well I know this can happen. Flat bed tow truck, uh-huh! Lost my new tractor and plow several years ago. Was never found. (not talking a lawn tractor)

The vehicle in question has an engine immobilizer system via a "chipped" key. Kind of hard to steal it without bypassing this system. Who knows maybe they dragged it onto a flatbed tow truck and drove away.

Repo companies are good at grabbing vehicles no matter what the security systems on them are. Anyone who has worked repo can snatch a vehicle faster and less obviously than someone with a flatbed.
