Victim and his friends hold burglar until officers arrive, Ypsilanti police say

A man was arrested Friday after police say he burglarized a North Adams Street apartment and was stopped by several people who held him until officers arrived.

The 26-year-old Ypsilanti man, who was staying at a neighboring apartment, stole a laptop computer, watch and other items at about 10:45 p.m., an Ypsilanti police news release said.

He jumped out of a second-story window, but the resident - who was just returning home - and several friends wrestled with him until police arrived, a police log said.

The man had entered the apartment through an unlocked window.

Hopefully he 'fell' multiple times before the police got there.

Well, it was dark out and he probably tripped on some blades of grass a couple of times...but chalk one up for the "good" guys!

The story neglects to mention the fact that the "burglar" was the boyfriend of one of the "victims". Trust me, no one in this story is one of the "good" guys.
