Thief removes sliding glass door, swipes XBox, PlayStation

By Kyle Feldscher

Two video game consoles and various games were stolen during a break-in on Forest Street in Ypsilanti early Sunday morning, police said.

The residents of the home in the 500 block of West Forest Avenue had left for about an hour Sunday morning — between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. — then returned and noticed the missing items, police said. The sliding glass door to the home had been removed, allowing the intruder, or intruders, to enter, police reported.

An Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and various video games were reported stolen.

There is no suspect information at this point, and police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Ypsilanti Police Department at 734-483-9510.

I was told those sticks in the doors do not work. You have to have a pin at the top pushed in to make sure it is working. Although I have heard that if they want the stuff? They will break the glass or what ever to get it. I am wondering what this world is coming to. I keep hearing more and more breaks everywhere.
