Ypsilanti man arrested for shoplifting after stealing from same Target store 4 times, police say
Pittsfield Township police say a 28-year-old Ypsilanti man visited a Target store four times recently to steal CDs.
By the fourth time, employees were on to him and detained him until police arrived.
Loss prevention officers at the store on Carpenter Road said the man was there on three separate occasions, stuffed CDs into a backpack and walked out, reports said. When he returned Nov. 4 and tried it again, he was stopped.
Police said the man admitted to the thefts, and all the property — including the previously stolen CDs — was found in his backpack.
The case was turned over to prosecutors for potential retail fraud charges.

Anything at any store, on that bus route, is more than average fair game I would think. I believe someone once told me once that the Pittsfield Walmart on Ellsworth was said to suffer some of the worst loss prevention numbers of any in the state. Walmart and target are like a mile apart.

Tis the season!!! Many stores in Pittsfield Township now how those plain clothes shoppers are looking for people like him. Call "shop together" they even push a cart fill then push it in the back and get another cart. Merry Christmas!!!

He went back with the previously stolen CDs on his person? Someone wants a warm place to spend the winter.

I've been to Target numerous times when someone activates the security alarm. I look around and no one moves. The employees act like they're too busy to be bothered. I've accidentally set it off before and I had to go and find a cashier who could de-activate the DVD I was buying so I could leave without setting off the alarm. I've always wondered what the alarms are for if everyone ignores them.

This 28 yr. old probably never thought he would get caught. After the third strike he was OUT! Good job, officers in the store and the police. Many stores have shoppers now that are not shopping for anything, except for people like him. I love it!!
