Ypsilanti man arrested on felony warrant after domestic violence incident

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Ypsilanti police arrested a 25-year-old man on Friday after being called to investigate a report of domestic violence in the 700 block of Ford Road.

Police said when they arrived at the scene, a 21-year-old woman told them that she and her live-in boyfriend had argued, and that he physically assaulted her, then pulled out a pair of scissors and threatened her with them.

Officers said the suspect had left the home before they arrived, but they were later able to locate him at another home in the city and arrested him on a felony warrant from Pittsfield Township.

The woman sustained minor injuries in the assault, but did not require medical attention, police said.

Doesn't matter to me, Ford Street or Ford Blvd. Glad the man was arrested. Good Job Officers!

Please clarify where this took place. Ford Road in Ypsilanti is technically in Superior Township I believe and I also think there is no 700 block there. There is a Ford Blvd and a Ford Street in Ypsilanti, although I'm not sure if either of these are in the city.

Ford Blvd is in Ypsi Twp. It was Ford St. off Ecorse.

@ Obvious- Ford st runs east/west between Ecorse and Arnett st behind the old Beyer Hospital. Actually when Beyer was open it ran into their parking lot from the east.
