Ypsilanti police investigate auto break-in on West Cross Street

Ypsilanti police are investigating an auto break-in reported Sunday afternoon in the 600 block of West Cross Street, a police incident log said.

A brick was thrown through a passenger side window of a 2001 Kia Sportage, and a purse containing $300 was taken, the log said.

The purse was left on the floor of the vehicle.

A 25-year-old woman reported the incident at 12:39 p.m.
