Ypsilanti police investigate peeping incident

By Lee Higgins

Ypsilanti police are investigating a peeping incident this morning at a North Congress Street home, a police incident log said.

A woman was in her bedroom about 12:34 a.m. when she heard a noise outside her window, the log said.

She looked over and saw a man duck down, according to the log.

The woman's boyfriend chased down the man, who told him he was supposed to meet a drug dealer at the home in the 600 block of North Congress Street, the log said.

The man left the area and officers were unable to locate him.

Since when is a failed meeting with one's drug dealer a valid excuse for "accidentally" peeping? I don't get it.
