Ypsilanti police search for man in cowboy hat suspected of stealing snow blower

A man in a black leather coat and a cowboy hat is suspected of stealing a snow blower from a backyard shed in Ypsilanti on Monday, police said.
Officers responded at 7:48 p.m. Monday to the area of South Washington and South Huron streets to search for the man, according to an Ypsilanti police report. The man had reportedly taken the snow blower and then left the area, police said.
The snow blower was found near by, but a search for the man came up empty, police said.
Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call Ypsilanti police at 734-483-9510.

How come when my GPS was stolen right from my garage when I lived in Ypsilanti, it didn't make the Ann Arbor News? All I got out of it was a bored cop who filled out a report and was never heard from again.
