Ypsilanti Township home ransacked overnight

By John Counts

Someone broke into a home in Ypsilanti Township Wednesday night or Thursday morning and ransacked it, police said.

Deputies from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the residence in the 800 block of Allen Avenue Thursday after receiving a report of a home invasion. Police say a suspect broke out a basement window to get into the home.

The suspect then went through drawers and closets, though at this point police aren't sure what was taken.

Police have no suspects at this time.
