Dense fog could plague drivers in some parts of the Ann Arbor area, the National Weather Service warns.

Areas of fog will persist through the morning rush hour before lifting around 9 a.m., the weather service said. Visibilities could drop to a quarter mile or less in some spots, especially low-lying areas.

The weather service said more widespread dense fog is blanketing parts of Monroe County. Once the fog lifts, a pleasant day is on tap with partly cloudy skies and a high near 80 degrees.
