Deputies investigate 4 burglaries in Ypsilanti Township

Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies are investigating four burglaries that occurred over the weekend.

Among them:

  • Saturday: 2100 block of Golfside Road, reported at 3:50 a.m. The front door was kicked in, and a rifle and gun case were taken.
  • Sunday: 800 block of Eugene Street, reported at 4:30 a.m. Entry was gained by kicking in the rear door, and four diamond rings, one 27-inch TV, and cash were taken.
  • Sunday: 100 block of Allen Street, reported at 4:40 p.m. Entry was gained through an unlocked garage door, and one push mower, a weed eater, and one skill saw were taken.
  • Sunday: 1500 block of Knowles Street, reported at 11:50 p.m. A rear door window was broken. One pop machine was overturned within the school, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Police do not have suspects in any of the break-ins.

Ypsi Twp is the most underpoliced Township in Mi per capita. That, along with several areas within the Twp that are resource draining (West Willow, Sugerbrook, 2500 Holmes, 2580 Holmes, 2590 E Michigan, Riley Ct, 953 E Michigan), and the habitually crowded jail, and the....... Well you get the picture. I am sure its the cops fault.

I know if I was in a coffee shop or gas station when i was supposed to be doing my job I would not have a job, yet I see many police cars in places as this at the peak crime times. WHY
