Dexter Township seeks interested resident to fill board vacancy
With Trustee Julie Knight moving out of Dexter Township and into the Village of Dexter later this month, she has submitted a letter of resignation, and the Township Board is seeking interested residents to fill her seat.
To qualify, candidates must be United States citizens at least 18 years of age who have lived in Dexter Township for at least 30 days and are registered to vote in the township.
Duties and responsibilities of the office include attendance at monthly board meetings, voting on township legislation and the fiduciary health of the township, according to information from the township.
The term ends Nov. 20, 2012.

Interested residents may apply for consideration by submitting a letter of interest and resume to Pat Kelly, supervisor, 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Road, Dexter, MI 48130 or by email.
Applications will be accepted until Sept. 9 at 4:30 p.m.
The Township Board will consider candidates for the appointment at its Sept. 20 regular board meeting.
