The owners of a new pizzeria in downtown Dexter started a buildout on the restaurant on Monday and hope to be open by summer, Dexter Patch reports.

Bits & Pizzas will serve New York-style pizza in addition to a variety of other menu items. Owners Robert and Mindy D’Oria say the style will be fine dining meets casual takeout, according to the story.

Bits & Pizzas is at 8099 Main St.

Looking forward to trying your restaurant. It's a sad commentary on the community when a new business is only welcomed by criticism. Obviously, the previous comments are from locals who've never had a great pizza. People, please understand there is a huge difference between a well crafted pizza and Jet's.

yeah, I'm getting a little tired of pizza in my town of Dexter...the only intriguing part about this is that it's new york style. The bar/pizzeria is overdone downtown Dexter.

Another free advertisement for a business that has yet to open that intends to serve yet more pizza in Dexter. Where is the news here? Dexter has at least five places that sell pizza. Why not feature a business that has been in the Dexter Community for many years, like The Dexter Mill.

To continue with your reasoning, where's the "news" in a business that has been in the community for years? This kind of piece is standard fare for any local newspaper (or local news website), and has been for decades. And it is "news," in that I and most others had never heard of it until this article.
