Family-owned Dexter area party store hits 40 years under same management
Editor's note: The location of CJ's Party Store has been corrected.
CJ's Party Store in the Dexter area has reached its 40-year anniversary with the father-son management team of Chester and Mike Troczynski, reports the Dexter Leader.
Mike, who went to Eastern Michigan University to study marketing, told the paper he intends to stay at the store in the future.
Although Chester said he did not initially intend to open a party store, he has owned the shop since the family moved to the area from Inkster 40 years ago, said the report. The business is at 4511 W. North Territorial Road in Webster Township.
The family, which included a 2-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter, lived in the store after their initial move to the Dexter area until they were able to find a place to live, they told the Leader.

CJ's is not in Dexter, it's in Webster Township. Many people stop at CJ's on the way to the Metro Parks, they are one of the few places with a full line of Ultimate Frisbee gear and bait. Not to mention an excellent selection of wines, beer and all kinds of stuff.

Ultimate Frisbee? They have that stuff too? I guess I've only ever noticed their D Golf stuff. Good place though...been there a LONG time.
