Funeral services set for Mary Burrows after fatal bicycle-car crash

Funeral services have been set for Mary Burrows, who died Tuesday evening when she was struck by a car while biking along Dexter-Pinckney Road north of Dexter.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea, with the Rev. James Coyl officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service.

Burrows, of Dexter Township, died when her bike collided with a westbound 2002 westbound Mercury Sable shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Burrows, who would have been 54 on Saturday, is survived by her husband, Robert W. Burrows; two daughters, Kristin Burrows of Pinckney and Sara O'Keefe of Austin, Texas; two brothers, James Ruble of Grosse Pointe and John Ruble of Chicago; and one grandson.
