Dexter Village plans to hold a Wellness Walk Saturday, which has morphed into a fundraiser for the Dexter Relief Fund set up to benefit tornado victims.

The Chelsea-Area Wellness Foundation will donate $20 to the relief fund for each adult walker who completes the walk on Saturday.

Walkers are asked to meet at 10 a.m. at the Dexter Library on Alpine Street. There are two routes, one that’s 2 miles and one that’s 3 miles.

Family, friends and even pets are welcome, according to information from the event.

See a flier with all the details here: INVITATION to OPENING2 (2).pdf. “This is an opportunity for anyone who hasn't been sure how to support our friends in Dexter,” the information states. “Plus, you'll get to see a great, newly completed path along the creek, connect with others in a healthy way and get some exercise.”

The village also will be dedicating the new bridge that connects Westridge subdivision to the village that’s located behind the Dexter firehouse.

Probility Physical Therapy will be there to help everyone stretch out.
