Greenhills School Top Scholars
Greenhills School held its 2010 graduation ceremonies’ June 6 on their campusl. The class had 84 graduates.

Activities and awards: Miranda was inducted into the Cum Laude Society as a junior in 2009. She was co-captain of the varsity field hockey and soccer teams, earning all-state recognition in both sports her senior year. As a member of the Science Olympiad team, she medaled twice in the state tournament; she also enjoyed studying printmaking.
Plans after graduation: Miranda will attend Amherst College where she will play field hockey and plans to study chemistry and art history. After college she would like to pursue a career in art conservation.
Nora Meyer Kassner
Activities and awards: Nora was a National Merit Finalist, Junior Rotarian, member of the Cum Laude Society, and DeWitt Wallace Scholar at Macalester. She was active in the Ann Arbor community with the YMCA board of directors, Youth Advisory Council, and Strong Kids Campaign. At Greenhills she was captain of the forensics team and a member of the Gay-Strait Alliance. In the summer of 2009 she interned at U-M Kelsey Museum of Archaeology.
Plans after graduation: Nora plans to attend Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. Her major undecided, but considering classics, anthropology, linguistics, and cultural studies.

Activities and awards: Christy was a National Merit Finalist, an AP Scholar of Distinction, and a member of the Cum Laude Society. Extracurricular activities included senior class treasurer, co-editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Alcove, and member of the African American Focus Multicultural Group. She was recently honored in Washington, D.C. for winning the National Ag Day Essay contest.
Plans after graduation: Christy plans to attend the University of Michigan Ross Business School’s Pre-Admission Program.

Activities and awards: Cynthia was a National Merit Finalist, member of the Cum Laude Society and an AP Scholar with Distinction. She served as co-editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Alcove, and was a member of the Science Olympiad team and girls’ varsity tennis team.
Plans after graduation: Cynthia plans to attend Northwestern University.
