The YPS Clothes Closet will be presented with a sign at the Monday, Nov. 23 Board of Education meeting, designating the program as a Michigan Education Excellence Award winner. Book sales benefit YPS art. Save your holiday book shopping for Dec. 12-13 when Barnes and Nobles Booksellers, 3235 Washtenaw Ave., will donate a percentage of their proceeds to several art programs at Ypsilanti Public Schools. All book lovers and shoppers are encouraged to make their purchases during this weekend art fair fund raiser, bring in a voucher or simply tell the sales associates that you want to support art at YPS with your purchase! Teachers who intend to place book orders for their
classes are also encouraged to shop during the art fair. In addition YPS student art will be on display to enjoy while you shop. For more details call Heidi Roberts, (734) 714-1314.
