Ypsilanti Courier: Willow Run Community Schools' laid-off para-educators restored to part time
The Willow Run Community Schools Board of Education recalled 26 para-educators to part-time status after the employees were laid off last month.
According to an article in the Ypsilanti Courier, administrators notified the employees 20 working days before the layoffs were to occur, in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
The Courier reported the 26 paraprofessionals will work half-time, for 19 hours and 30 minutes per week, for the 2012-13 school year.
