Electronics, money stolen during home invasions in Ypsilanti

By Cole Bertsos

Two unrelated home invasions were reported Friday in Ypsilanti, according to the Ypsilanti Police Department.

Police said the first incident took place on the 700 block of Maus Avenue, where an unknown suspect forced open a front door but appeared to never actually enter the home.

Nothing was reported stolen and there are no suspects at this time.

The second event was on the 100 block of North Normal Street, where the suspect gained entry through an unlocked back door.

The resident reported several electronics were stolen as well as an undisclosed amount of money.
