EMU police arrest fourth suspect in robbery, assault on campus
Eastern Michigan University police arrested a fourth suspect today accused of robbing and assaulting three students on campus last week.
EMU Police Chief Greg O'Dell said the 18-year-old Ypsilanti man was arrested on a warrant charging him with unarmed robbery, larceny from a person, aggravated assault and larceny of more than $200.
Three other suspects, all age 18, also have been arrested in the case.
O'Dell said police used video evidence and other methods to identify the suspected robbers.
On April 19, three EMU students said four men followed them as they walked from the Student Center at about 9:15 p.m. One of the robbers asked if one of the students was “David.”
According to police, the student said no, and the suspect began yelling to stop lying. The students told police at least two of the men began punching them and took property from one of them.
Two of the other men accused in the case have been arraigned on unarmed robbery charges. Malcolm Love of Ypsilanti is being held on $15,000 cash bond, and Demetrius Stovall of Ann Arbor was released on 10 percent of $3,500 bond.
The men will appear for a preliminary hearing May 5.
The suspect arrested today is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.

I don't suppose anyone in the media would like to interview these cretins and ask them what they chose campus as their hunting grounds and what would deter them from doing so again? It would be a fascinating article to be sure.

These students could have been killed. Arm yourselves people--cops can only clean up the mess.
