A three-car crash in Lodi Township Wednesday required the extrication of at least one person from a vehicle, officials said.
Huron Valley Ambulance spokeswoman Joyce Williams said police, fire and medical personnel were dispatched at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday to Wagner and Waters roads. Multiple HVA units were sent to the scene but were gone by 5:45 p.m.
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on scene investigating the crash just before 6 p.m. Wednesday. It was not immediately clear how the crash occurred.
A black Chevrolet Trailblazer had front-end damage, and it appeared the fender of the car had either fallen off in the crash or been removed by emergency personnel. A blue Honda CRV had damage to the side of the vehicle and a silver Chrysler sedan had damage to its rear.
The CRV appeared to be the vehicle where the extrication took place — the driver’s side door appeared to be smashed in.
The severity of the injuries sustained in the crash was not immediately clear Wednesday. Wagner Road was shut down in front of Orchard Grove Village for about one hour Wednesday while emergency crews cleared the wreck.
At 5:50 p.m., deputies and cleanup crews were sweeping glass out of the roadway that had been smashed during the wreck.
It’s unclear how many people were involved in the incident.
Sheriff's office officials were not immediately available for more information about the accident Wednesday evening.

Kyle, this is the third serious accident at this intersection on the past 12 months, at least in my memory. Do you have access to any statistics?
