Fire damages Pittsfield Township mobile home Sunday

Pittsfield Township firefighters extinguished a mobile home fire Sunday afternoon after finding smoke and flames coming from the residence when they arrived .

Fire officials said crews were dispatched at 3:50 p.m. Sunday to 3423 Carpenter Road for a report of heavy smoke coming from a mobile home. When they arrived, crews discovered smoke and flames coming from the rear of the mobile home.

It took approximately 20 minutes for firefighters to extinguish the fire.

No one was home at the time of the blaze and the cause is still under investigation. The fire does not appear to be suspicious, fire officials said in a press release. No one was injured.
