Curtis Park in Saline remained flooded today following Wednesday night storms that dumped nearly 6 inches of rain in a 12-hour time period.

The watch will replace the flood warning in effect earlier today. The watch will last until noon Friday, said Rachel Kulik, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s White Lake Township office.
The half inch of rain forecasters predict would top almost 6 inches of rain from Wednesday night’s storms. Kulik said the forecast predicts a chance of rain between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Friday.
It should cool in to the 70s tonight, but Friday’s temperatures are expected to hit the upper 80s, Kulik said.

That photo reminds me of the flood off Maiden Lane earlier this year; I imagine the calm in the park, interrupted only by chirping birds; another reader contributed such short videos with sound from the Island Park flood.

That was some frog strangling rain that fell last night, loved watching it fall though.

Sounds like you identify with Eddie Rabbitt in his song, "I Love a Rainy Night".
