Flash mob takes over the The Diag at noon
By Michael Rothstein
It's nice out in Ann Arbor today, so Michigan students decided: Why not, let's dance. In the middle of campus. At noon.

How does a flash mob learn to dance together like that? Amazing.

i love it, but more like a sorority than a flash "mob". but it's performance - it IS art, or at least effort - and i do like these kind of stories, better than the random hit-and-run or hutaree stories. they created something - bravo and cute.

looks like they were having fun, but next time some of the participants should practice the routine a little bit more prior to the event execution...

Ask Philidelphia and other larger cities how much fun flash mods can be when not used for plain old good time. The underbelly of society has learned that it can be used for a good old fashion riot. I too think its fun, but do some flash mod searches and the story are not pretty - they have basically become flash riots, including the injuries, arrests, and lots of property damage. This is the example of the "bright side of life".
