updated: Gas leak shuts intersection of Main and Kingsley streets in Ann Arbor

Streets in the area had been closed, including Kingsley and Main streets and Beakes Street, Ann Arbor police said.

Motorists were encouraged to avoid the area.

As of 10:45 a.m., DTE crews were on the scene, and Ann Arbor police were expecting to have the streets reopened soon.
