Many people would love it if AnnArbor.com would do some investigative reporting to see why Ann Arbor's gasoline prices are consistently so high. Go to Ypsi or west of town and prices are always less. Dealers pay the same for the gas, why the substantial price difference? Come on A2.com, find out why.

Anyone heading west on I-94 note: I bought 14 gallons of 93 octane at a Citgo station near the casino in Battle Creek yesterday at $2.819 per gallon - just three cents per gallon more than the average price for lower octane regular in Ann Arbor. Regular there was priced about 15 cents less than here, at $2.639 per gallon.
