Gas prices up 5.1 cents per gallon, AAA Michigan says

AAA Michigan says gasoline prices have risen 5.1 cents per gallon over the past week to a statewide average of $3.13, The Detroit News reported. The auto club said Monday the statewide average is 44.5 cents per gallon higher it was at this time last year.

What really sucks is the fact that you need cash at these gas stations or you really pay thru the snoze with 10 cents higher in fees. There is something really wrong with these gas stations that do this. I heard they are going to go even higher by summer. Just great for those planning a summer get away.

China switched from bikes to cars, they will be the driving force in gas demand. In 2010 in the US truck and SUV sales beat out passenger cars, I guess we haven't learned anything. Hopefully $5 or $6 per gallon gas by year end will fix that. No one seems to care about conservation until you hit the pocketbook.
