Geddes Road to be closed Wednesday night for water main repair

By Pete Cunningham

A portion of Geddes Road, between Earhart Road and Huron Parkway near Concordia University on Ann Arbor's north side, will be closed Wednesday evening into Thursday morning to repair a leaking water main.

The .9 mile stretch of road will be closed to through traffic starting at 10 p.m. and is scheduled to reopen Thursday morning at 6 a.m. The same area was closed in April for the repair of a water main break.

City officials said local traffic will be allowed access during the closure. Signs for local detours will be posted.

Another water main break in that area? What's the deal? Though this one won't affect my commute, the other recent two (and there were at least two) certainly did!
