Girl Scouts pay tribute to Hurricane Sandy victims

By Daniel Brenner

Girl Scout Troop 40112 on Tuesday completed a bundle of blankets to send to the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J.

Fifth-grade student Abby Warrick came up with the idea while watching the news.

"I wanted people who don't have homes to have a blanket to stay warm during the winter," she says.

Intern photographer Daniel Brenner captured these images.

Thanks for looking Jeanette. These girls were the opposite of camera shy and made for a real nice story. After speaking with one of the troop leaders, they plan to ship the blankets to New Jersey this week.
