Ann Arbor police are seeking a lone gunman believed responsible for robberies at a Denny’s and Circle K Saturday night and early Sunday.

No one was hurt in the incidents, which took place within four hours of one another. The suspect in both cases fled on foot with a small amount of cash.

Ann Arbor Police detective Bill Stanford said descriptions of the suspect were the same in both incidents.

“We believe it’s the same individual and are actively seeking him,” he said.

The first incident occurred around 11:10 p.m. at the Denny’s at 3310 Washtenaw Ave., while the second robbery took place around 3:15 a.m. at the Circle K convenience store at 1420 E. Stadium Boulevard.

A manager at Denny’s said none of the crew members working Sunday morning were on hand when the incident took place and declined to comment. A woman who answered the phone at Circle K said she was unable to comment to the press.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot white male, unshaven, wearing a black or gray hoodie, blue jeans and brandishing a black, semi-automatic handgun. He was not wearing a mask in either incident.
