Commuters will find the westbound lanes closed near Washtenaw to South Forest for the duration of the resurfacing work, according to the city.

A detour has been established for drivers on Washtenaw, who will be redirected to South Forest, about two blocks north of the Hill Street intersection.

The entire width of Hill Street will be repaved, with an estimated completion date of July 18 planned.

The cost of the work was estimated at $450,565.

There needs to be ONE map of A2 with ALL the constructions going on at any one time. Where is that posted? Far too many projects are scheduled at the same time and there needs to be a recognition of this. ONE MAP showing ALL construction projects and dates (starting and completion). Where is it?

Maybe the no left turn at Cambridge can be changed to something other than 24 hours???

@brimble - it's from Washtenaw to South Forest. The map is linked from the word "detour" in the 3rd paragraph, but I'll add it now to the story.

Did it never occur to the so-called traffic planners in City Hall that with the longstanding closing of the Stadium bridge residents have to find alternative ways to travel between the east and the west sides of town? Why is it that they seem intent on doing repairs on every conceivable east-west thoroughfare south of Huron--as well as the Dexter fork off of Huron--at the worst possible time?

AnnArbor.com seems to love Google maps -- but neither that nor a description of what portions of Hill are being repaved are provided in the article.

Oh, happy days! That section of road is a mess. I'll be glad not to have to steer around the fissures.

Oh the humanity! Car drivers will need to detour! They hate it when people tell them what they must do. Those poor dears.

@brad...his point is that his bicycle seat has caused his thought process to be slanted.

Does the city have a website that shows what roads are being worked on at any given time?

Did you try searching for "Ann Arbor road construction 2012"? That led me to http://www.a2gov.org/Alerts/Pages/EventRoadClosuresandDetours.aspx which has a link to a map.

GREAT question! If I saw a map I could better plan my route. Hill Street was one alternative to Stadium to get from ne side of A2 to west side. Bummer.
