Willow Run 4th graders get a lesson in density from WCC students

By Courtney Sacco

Fourth graders from Willow Run Community Schools learned about density and slime at Washtenaw Community College. Students in the WCC's early elementary program lead the fourth graders in a series of experiments designed to teach them about density.

A great experience for the kids! Kudos to all involved. Now as a follow up, if they really want a lesson in density, take them down to watch a Detroit City Clowncil Meeting!

Got to be honest here....... I laughed when I read the headline of this article (easily amused I guess).

I have to admit that I saw the headline and thought it could be interpreted a couple of ways too. :-)

I agree! My daughter will be in a program at UM on Saturday that shows kids how to make rockets. I love these opportunities for students in our community, and the smiles are a great payback.

Great to see young and eager smiling faces while learning. Also great to see the smiles also on the WCC students while helping the kids
