Kids get hands-on science experience at museum event

The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum held the "Hands-On Holidays: Hot & Cold" event Jan. 5 and invited kids and families to attend.

Kids had the opportunity to make ice candles, play snow games and hear about the science behind all of the activities. staff photographer Courtney Sacco was there.

Also most kids never get to see phase changes except for water, it I a great chance to show the kids that the clear liquid is wax and not water, but you have to emphasize it or they will think the liquid is water that turns into wax with ice.
