By AnnArbor.com Staff

Updated: The road was opened by about 9:40 p.m. Saturday.

Pittsfield Township police warned motorists Saturday night that the intersection of Platt and Michigan will be closed until about 10:30 p.m.

The reason, officials said, is a crash in the westbound lane of Michigan at Platt. The location is just east of the Pittsfield Township Hall and Department of Public Safety.

Traffic will be detoured while emergency crews are on the scene.

Details on the incident were not immediately available.

We just rode our motorcycles up US 23 tonight from Monroe. We ran into extremely heavy rain jst south of Milan and it continued all the way up and west on 94. We exited at State Street. The accident could have been the result of that really heavy rain I would guess. We were under an overpass for a while but then forged on.

That's a bad intersection especially when trying to make a left turn onto Michigan from south bound Platt.
