More than a month after it was closed due to severe flooding, Lima Center Road in Freedom Township has reopened to traffic, the Washtenaw County Road Commission announced today.

The section of road between Hieber Road and Bethel Church Road was reopened Wednesday, officials said. It had been closed since June 9 due to severe flooding from a series of thunderstorms.

Officials said the water has receded, so the roadway is safe for vehicles.
