I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the will of the people is that we remember our Veterans. But it is Ann Arbor, so I could be wrong.

"Its too bad the city does not help with the celebrations." I agree, but the odds of the People's Republic of Ann Arbor doing anything like that are pretty slim.

St. Andrew's United Church of Christ is located in Dexter. Sorry, I left that out.

I've always found it odd and somewhat unjust that places like government offices and financial institutions are closed for Veterans Day. If Americans want to honor veterrans and show their appreciation, why not have it be a holiday exclusively for veterans no matter where they worked?

As WW2 Vets pass from the scene, I hope there is more attention given to those that served in Korea and Vietnam. Thanks to all Vets for their service and sacrifice.

St. Andrew's United Church of Christ will honor veterans and service personnel at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, November 14. This is a tradition with the church and is a thank you to those who have served their country. Special music, a color guard, and coffee hour will be offered. Rev. Paul Tomshany, chaplain of the Dexter American Legion Post 577, will deliver the message and honor MIAs and POWs. The church is at 7610 Ann Arbor Street.

If you can read, thank a teacher. If you can read English, thank a veteran.
