I love the heat but YUCK! Why would you swim in the Huron River? WHY?

about the only thing I enjoy about summer is it gives me the opportunity to show off my tattoos; otherwise, give me COLD! give me SNOW UP TO MY KNEECAPS! give me ARCTIC WINDS HOWLING AROUND ME!(keep the freezing rain, however, it's dangerous to walk on. it put my right wrist in a cast a while back.)

Love it! Bring on the humidity so it will feel more like the Caribbean (without the palm trees and beaches).

Very dangerous to jump off the railroad bridge.A person died several years ago and just last summer a girl was impaled by a hidden branch. I was there as the Firefighters were applyimg first aid. There are hidden logs and tree limb's that get washed down stream daily. I warn kids everytime I ride by there. It's just a matter of time before someone is seriously injured again.

Bridge reference is regarding the photo in article with boys jumping off bridge in to water (Ypsilanti resident Luke Stolarski jumps from a bridge above the Huron River near Barton Nature Area Tuesday afternoon as his friend.........)

zan.....good point about the bridge, but what, if anything, does this have to do with the subject we were discussing?See: hot weather.

Actually the railroad bridge I am reffering to is the one that crosses Argo Pond at Main St. and the canoe livery

We don't have air conditioning at our house. Heat is not fun. Especially for our poor dog who has to stay there all day while we come to air conditioned work :(

"Dog Days" (Latin: di?s canicul?r?s) are the hottest, most sultry days of summer. Say Hi! to your dog for me.

Ceiling Fans. Lots of them. I also put on my vents in the bathroom to draw out humidity.

Hmm

Only one more day hang in there Sarah! Lots of cold water to drink in the fridge and keeping your windows and blinds shut to keep the heat out helps a little bit.

First, I never complain about a hott day, ever! Second, those kids are really testing their digestive tracts if they are swiming in and swallowing that watewr. Finally, 74 days till kick off. Get busy ya'll!

The humidity kills me. And my hair. I look like a poodle who walked into an electrical wire over here. I love summer for the fresh veggies and fruits, the sunshine, the days at the lake, etc. But the humidity KILLS ME. It's like living in a sauna. Still, it's better than 2 feet of snow, I guess. Despite my (rather impressive) poodle 'fro.

Yes, it's summer - heard of it. Lets have a moratorium on lame summer heat stories in the summer.
