M-14 lane to be closed much of day Sunday following brief total shutdown of westbound lanes
Motorists driving on M-14 east of Ann Arbor Sunday will encounter a lane closure for much of the day and a complete shutdown of the westbound lanes for a brief period early in the morning.
The westbound lanes of the freeway will be closed for about 10 minutes sometime between 6 and 7 a.m. Sunday between Dixboro Road and the US-23/M-14 split. One lane will then be closed until mid-afternoon.
The closure will allow work on an overhead freeway sign, said Kari Arend, Michigan Department of Transportation spokeswoman.

According to the MDOT website, this is supposed to happen Saturday, July 16...not Sunday. Can you please clarify?

Not the first time MDOT's site had incorrect info.

It actually has both days on the website. I spoke to Kari Arend at MDOT about this. She said the work is scheduled for Sunday.

Closed much of the day following a brief total shutdown. Aren't these the same? Need to reword.

The total shutdown applies to the westbound lanes. I've clarified that.
