By John Counts

An 18-year-old Huntington Woods man told police he was assaulted while at a party in the 1400 block of Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor Saturday night.

Officers were dispatched to the residence at around 11:30 p.m., said Lt. Renee Bush of the Ann Arbor Police Department.

The 18-year-old said the suspect struck him with a closed fist in the face. The man suffered a swollen lip and was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as a white male between 18 and 24 with short curly blond hair. No other information was immediately available.

If this is the worst thing that happened in Ann Arbor yesterday, then I count it as a good day. ;-)

Concussion possibilities, loosening of a tooth, or any injury that medical insurance may not cover without a police report. I get it.

The broken-window theory teaches us this kind of civil discord has to be nipped in the bud. White male, 18 to 24, with short curly blond hair. How many can there be? Round 'em up. Use the Big House.
