Man arrested after assault, Ann Arbor police say
A man was arrested this morning shortly after he punched another man in the face near the intersection of South Main and William streets, an Ann Arbor police report said.
The 24-year-old victim fell to the ground after being hit in the nose and was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital for treatment.
Police arrested a 35-year-old Ann Arbor Township man after the report says he violated a condition of his bond, requiring that he not assault anyone.
He is accused of hitting the victim after he thought the victim made a comment about his girlfriend, the report said.
The report doesn't say what the man was previously charged with.
