Reports say Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched to a home in the 10000 block of Joslin Lake Road in Lyndon Township Friday afternoon for a reported burglary. The homeowner interrupted the break-in, reports say, then followed the burglar's vehicle, which was later located by police on Huron River Drive in Webster Township.

Police said the suspect, Chad Corser, fled from deputies through Webster and Scio Townships before being caught on Jackson Avenue in Scio Township.

Corser was arraigned on fleeing and eluding charges and was held at the Washtenaw County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. He will next appear in court June 8.
