Man assaults roommate after losing video game, Ypsilanti police say

By Lee Higgins

A man told police his roommate assaulted him, slashed the rear tire of his Dodge Stratus and wrote a curse word on the driver's side door after he lost in a video game, Ypsilanti police say.

Officers were dispatched to the victim's apartment in the 800 block of Green Road about 7:37 a.m. Monday to take the complaint, an incident log said. The roommate said it occurred Sunday evening.

No word on what video game was being played.

Police continue to investigate. Sgt. Kevin Dorsey said he did not have additional details this morning.

If he would have pulled a gun on him, everyone would be calling out for more gun control.

Great! More ammunition for the people who think video games cause this violence! (Of course my opinion is that this guy would be hostile and impulsive regardless of his choice in digital entertainment.)

Let that be a lesson to kids, don't mix video games and emotions.
