Ypsilanti Township man charged with assault with intent to murder

A man was arrested Saturday after Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies say he assaulted his girlfriend and held her against her will at their home in the 2300 block of Roundtree Boulevard in Ypsilanti Township.

Bryant Rashad Rios, 21, is charged with assault with intent to murder, a sheriff's department incident summary said.

Rios was arrested shortly after he left the scene of the 9 p.m. incident, the summary said.

Deputies responded after receiving numerous 911 hang-ups. Rios was arraigned Sunday and is scheduled to return to court Jan. 20.
