Man dies in Augusta Township accident, deputies say

A man died in a wreck Sunday night on Rawsonville Road in Augusta Township, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.

Donald L. Ross, 38, of Belleville, was traveling north when he lost control of a 1992 Chevrolet Tahoe, and it struck a tree, a sheriff's department incident summary said.

He died at the scene of the accident near Talladay Road, the summary said.

Snow was believed to be a factor. Paramedics responded to the scene about 11:30 p.m.

Investigators determined Ross' vehicle went off the right side of the road, traveled back onto the road, went off the left side, then struck the tree, according to the summary.
